Dr. Looney, our Williamson County School Superintendent, said he humbly apologized, at the PTO President and Principal meeting last week, for the continued busing issues. The District has been consistently advertising for drivers since last school year. They even increased the rate of pay again, from $15/hour to $17/hour, and yet, they still cannot find enough bus drivers for the number of bus routes in the County. They are aware of the angst and the problems this is causing and they continue to brainstorm on different and better ways to address it. If you or someone you know might consider becoming a bus driver, send them to https://selfservice.wcs.edu/Apply/employmentopportunities/default.aspx to submit an online application. Applicants are paid while training and while obtaining their CDL license. The position also receives full medical and dental benefits.
